Finally made some samples of my dip powder. I have 3 brands so far. I have Nu Genisis, Perfect Dip and I Gel. They are all good quality and do a great job but also use I Gel because it is a better price and does the same job. They have many colors to choose from and it is a good size jar. If a client wants a particular color I ask them to go on the company site and let me know what color they like and I get it for them. Product is expensive and I have a small home business so I don't carry many colors. I try to have a couple of nude colors and of course a red. The good thing about the dip powder is that you can mix colors to make a new one but you have to remember to write down the formula so you can get the same color again. I have made that mistake and not fun when you are trying to replicate color. I have done this dip method for a long time before they came out with colored powders. I couldn't take the smell of monomer so I thought how can I find a way to do the nails with acrylic without it, so I put clear gel on and then dipped the nail in the powder and then cured it in my lamp. It works really well, then I put a second coat and repeated. I put a clear coat to top it off. I like the resin but you don't have a lot of time to work. I am used to it now but not so fond of the smell. Also, I had a devil of a time to get that top coat to work and be shinny. I think I finally got it. I like the NU Genisis bottle the best because you can see how much product you have left and the lids don't get stuck. Nothing worse than half a bottle and the lid get clued shut. I am really careful not to get any protect not the opening. Every system has its pros and cons. I have been doing nails for 25 years and there are still new things to learn. I have structure gels, regular gels, Shellac, Gelish and a few more. I am trying to perfect the Poly Gel system which gives the freedom to sculpt. So many products so little time.
